Flash’s First Trip to Zion

Zion. One of the most beautiful places on the planet!  But don’t take my word for it, go see for yourself.

The title is because we got a new Ford Flex that we call “Flash.”

For the first time Zionist, we recommend coming in on the east side entrance. There you can get a pretty lovely first view of Zion by parking just before the tunnel at Canyon Overlook Trail.   It is a short hike with a few stairs and some climbing, but you will get some initial views that are stunning.  We also saw some bighorn sheep right along the road!Also, do yourself a favor and just buy the annual pass, you can use them at any National Park in the US and it is well worth it. 

Once inside Zion, there are many adventures to be had, you merely need to stop anywhere that piques your interest and explore.  There are some incredible hikes, one of which is called Angel’s Landing which was one of the more treacherous and challenging hikes, but well worth the view at the top!
